Steven WellsMr. Wells is a founding partner of Wells & Mendelberg PLLC.  Mr. Wells has represented a wide range of clients including large and small financial institutions, Fortune 500 companies, international corporations with business operations in the US, large and small domestic businesses, factors, merchant cash advance companies, hard money lenders, commercial landlords, bankruptcy trustees, state court receivers, and individuals.  Mr. Wells focuses his practice on creditors’ rights, commercial litigation, and business bankruptcy reorganization.

Mr. Wells has experience with state and federal litigation, trials, appeals, arbitrations, mediations, commercial loan workouts, sales of distressed assets, debt restructuring, adversary proceedings, and proceedings under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code.

 Previously, Mr. Wells was a partner at the law firm of Hodgson Russ LLP.  Prior to that, he was an associate at the firm of Harter Secrest & Emery LLP.

 Mr. Wells graduated, cum laude, from the University at Buffalo School of Law where he was a Publications Editor for the Buffalo Law Review and a member of the Jessup International Moot Court competition team.  Mr. Wells earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Ithaca College.

 Mr. Wells is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Erie County Bar Association, Alternative Finance Bar Association and the Turnaround Management Association.

 Mr. Wells is admitted to practice law in New York state and federal courts.
